We have IMS & Db2 zSeries S-TAPs configured to fail over to secondary collectors when necessary. This happens quite frequently in our environment and unfortunately when they revert back to their primary collector an inactive S-TAP still exists on the secondary collector even though the active S-TAP is clearly connected where it is supposed to be. This triggers alerts and we spend a lot of time checking to make sure the S-TAP is indeed running where it should, then deleting the inactive one. We want to keep the alerts in place in order to make sure we actually catch an S-TAP that does not come back up.
