In IBM’s effort to continue to streamline and simplify navigation for our customers, this Ideas portal will be shut down on February 28, 2023. We would ask that you use the main IBM Ideas portal at https://ideas.ibm.com/ or the IBM Security-specific portal at https://ibmsecurity.ideas.ibm.com/ to review, vote for existing ideas, or add new ideas.
Currently the datasource definitions status indicator is only updated if a manual test is performed on that page.
If a Datasource is no longer available (for whatever reason), the datasource definitions page will continue to show the status with a green check mark, until a manual test is performed.
When a scan is performed and results with a failure to connect (networking, username/password change, or other reason), update the Datasource definitions page with the current status.
By clicking the "Post Comment" or "Submit Idea" button, you are agreeing to the IBM Ideas Portal Terms of Use.

We intend to consider this request for support in the near future with Guardium Data Protection. We will keep you posted on its availability.
Thanks,

There is a discrepancy between test connection and the account actually having the permissions to perform the scan. Consider incorporating permissions checks to the test as well?
IMO... the datasource status is misleading. Addressing this would make the user experience much better.
