LDAP support: Rather than using an internal user registry that has to be regularly sync'd/maintained with an enterprise LDAP (such as MSAD), we require customers to manage authentication and access controls separately within our product. RBC needs us to support LDAP (specifically MSAD).
+Severity: High but not likely showstopper
Why is this an issue: Being a large, global enterprise, RBC relies on their MSAD environment for authentication and access management to their application portfolio. It's not operationally manageable to manage separate registries within each application. It is common practice in the software industry to leverage an external LDAP for this. RBC cites competitors like Voltage as having elegant implementations of this.
...We have suggested that RBC implement regularly (e.g nightly) integration with our internal registry and their MSAD environment. This has not yet been validated but it's the only practical solution unless/until our solution provides LDAP integration.
