In IBM’s effort to continue to streamline and simplify navigation for our customers, this Ideas portal will be shut down on February 28, 2023. We would ask that you use the main IBM Ideas portal at https://ideas.ibm.com/ or the IBM Security-specific portal at https://ibmsecurity.ideas.ibm.com/ to review, vote for existing ideas, or add new ideas.

admin / user role based on user membership of AD security groups / LDAP OU's

currently, we can add only AD users, not AD groups.

Managing our authentication by group would be more effective.

=> at installation: 1 group set as admin privilege, the second group as user with read only privilege.

=> GKLM becomes no touch after. if we have a new joiner or a leaver, just update our AD groups and GKLM is also updated

=> we can manage the access security of all our products using AD group without the need to log in on each of them to manually update who is administrator, who is not.

    We truly appreciate the idea and fully understand the requirement. This surely will be a good product enhancement and will be considered for implementation in future releases.
